What is the Target Audience to Attend the Show?

  • The Independent Hotel Show is for owners, senior management,  purchasing managers, designers, and key decision makers from independently-minded leading hotels and brands.
  • The Independent Hotel Show is a B2B show open to qualified industry professionals only and not open to the general public.
  • Individuals must be directly involved in the hotel industry to attend.
  • Suppliers to the industry must be exhibitors in the show to participate.

What is the History of the Show?

The Independent Hotel Show Miami is an annual event that highlights the latest trends, innovations, and best practices for luxury and boutique hoteliers. The Miami show was first held in 2023 as a spin-off of the successful Independent Hotel Show London, which has been running since 2012 and has since expanded to Amsterdam, Miami and soon Munich. The show provides inspiration, education and networking opportunities for hotel owners, general managers, and professionals who are in pursuit of creating memorable guest experiences.

Independent Hotel Show Miami will host its second annual edition this September 18 – 19, 2024, once again at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The event serves forward-thinking, independently minded hoteliers from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.

What is the Cost to Exhibit in the Show?

The Independent Hotel Show Miami offers a high-quality display environment in which to showcase your brand. The Booth Packages are designed to save you money overall as they include Material Handling Labor (drayage), booth furnishing items and nightly cleaning. You also receive access to tailored marketing tools and unlimited complimentary show invitation codes for increasing your company’s awareness and connecting with influential decision makers. You are not just receiving exhibit space at IHM – you are getting extra support to minimize your exhibit costs and maximize your ROI results.

What is Included in the Exhibit Booth Package?

Exhibitors have a choice between the Hard-Wall Turnkey Booth Package and Basic (Raw) Space Booth Package.

Hard-Wall Turnkey Packages include:

  • 8’ high hard wall shell scheme walls on 3 sides (2 sides for corner booths)
  • Front fascia ID Sign
  • Standard booth carpet (in tuxedo black color)
  • Standard square table (1 - white)
  • Standard folding chairs (2 – white)
  • Nightly booth cleaning
  • Material handling (drayage)
  • Online and onsite directory listings
  • Booth personnel badges (unlimited)
  • Marketing tools
  • An invitation code to invite unlimited guests to attend the show
  • Please note electrical service is NOT included but can be ordered from the building.


Basic (Raw) Space Packages (for pre-approved Custom Exhibits) include:

  • Material handling (drayage)
  • Nightly booth cleaning
  • Booth personnel badges (unlimited)
  • Marketing tools
  • Online and onsite directory listings
  • An invitation code to invite unlimited guests to attend the show
  • Please note hard walls, carpet, furniture, and electricity are NOT included. Exhibitors must have walls and floor covering as part of their exhibit space.

How Many Exhibitor Badges are Included with Booth?

Exhibiting companies are provided with all the complimentary badges they need for their company personnel working in their booth at the show.

Exhibiting companies are also provided with invitation codes they can provide to their customers or prospects that allow qualified attendees to register for free to attend the show.

How do Exhibitors Invite Customers to the Show?

The Exhibitor Zone is where you enter your company's information (logo, description, and social media links) for your online exhibitor listing.

There are also promotional web banners, social media content suggestions, and a PDF invitation available for your company to utilize in promoting your presence at the event as well as the opportunity to list Media Releases.

Our Exhibitors are partners in attracting the right audience to make the show successful!

The Exhibitor Primary Contact will receive an email from our partner at Feathr; email address is partners@feathr.co; subject line: Your Exhibit Promotional Tools – Urgent.

The email contains access to your promotional, custom-built dashboard containing a set of marketing tools as well as your unique promo code which grants free registration for clients and prospects to help promote your presence. Your custom dashboard contains a co-branded landing page, personalized email invite, and referral banners.

How do Exhibitors Order Extra Services and Furnishings?

The Online Exhibitor Show Services Site will soon be available and provides you with important show information such as rules and regulations, deadlines, booth furnishings, electrical, AV, lead retrieval and much more.

How do Exhibitors Order Lead Retrieval?

Exhibitors are able to rent lead retrieval systems from our registration company, which enables them to easily collect data on attendees in their booth who agree to let them scan their badges.

How do Exhibitors Ship Booth Materials to the Show?

Exhibiting companies should ship their materials to the Advance Warehouse where possible, as this will ensure that the materials are delivered to their booths at the start of set-up. Advance Warehouse deliveries should arrive NO EARLIER than August 21, 2024, and should arrive NO LATER than September 11, 2024. Details on where to ship and the labels will be posted soon in the Exhibitor Services Site.

If exhibitors are unable to ship far enough in advance to ship to the Advance Warehouse then they need to ship directly to the Miami Beach Convention Center to arrive NO EARLIER than September 16, 2024, any shipments delivered prior to September 16 will be turned away as our General Services Contractor setting up the show will not be at the building to receive shipments. Details on how to address and where to deliver materials directly to the show set-up at the Miami Beach Convention Center, along with labels to use, can be found soon in the Exhibitor Services Site.

Can Exhibitors Serve Food and Drinks in their Booths?

Exhibiting companies that manufacture, produce or distribute food or beverage products can offer samples to attendees. Beverage samples are limited to a maximum 3oz container. Food samples are limited to a maximum 2oz portion. Please see the Sampling Forms from the Miami Beach Convention Center. Also, please see the full rules and guidelines in the MBCC Catering Guide. 

Exhibitors may order food and beverages from the official MBCC catering service, Sodexo Live. Information on the catering options available can be found below. Please note all outside food and beverage is strictly prohibited within the Miami Convention Center building and complex.

What Marketing Tools are made Available to Exhibitors?

The Exhibitor Zone is where you enter your company's information (logo, description, and social media links) for your online exhibitor listing.

Are Attendee Lists Available to Exhibitors?

Due to the many data protection laws in place across the many countries and states we serve, as well as the privacy we promise our customers, we are unable to provide attendee lists.

You are able to rent lead retrieval systems from our registration company, which enables you to easily collect data on attendees in your booth who agree to let you scan their badges.

Please Note: Show Management never sells our attendee data, so if you are approached by any companies claiming to be able to sell you our attendee data, pretending to be show management, they are criminal enterprises trying to steal your money, under no circumstances should you respond to these solicitations.

Are 1-to-1 Meetings Scheduled by the Show?

The show does not currently have an automated meetings program in place. We will be working with our exhibitors and attendees this year to determine how best this might be put in place in the future.

How do we get a Visa Invitation Letter?

If you are a contracted exhibiting company from outside the USA and any of your personnel who will be working at the show need a Visa Invitation Letter, please send a detailed request by email to: Info@IndependentHotelShow.us

You will need to provide the following details for each person: 

  • Full Name
  • Passport Number
  • Nationality
  • Date Issued
  • Expiration Date

What Hotel Room Rates are there for Exhibitors?

We have arranged special room rates at a number of independent hotels in the area.  Click the Hotel & Travel link for information.

Please note that other agencies may solicit you to book with these and other hotels, but to ensure you have a legitimate reservation, use the above link for the only official hotels.

What is the Conference Program at the Show?

The Innovation Stage is the on-floor education hub which will host multiple education sessions per day, covering the latest hotel trends and cutting-edge innovation with the goal of developing ground-breaking ideas and engaging conversations relevant to the boutique, lifestyle, and luxury hotel sectors.

The Business Center Stage is a relaxed environment on the show floor where knowledge can be gained and shared. These tailored campfire-esque sessions led by exhibitors, up to 6 per day, provide a unique mix of presentations, products, and solutions for hoteliers.

All sessions over the two-day event are included at no additional cost with attendee registration.

Can Exhibitors Submit Topics or Presentations for the Conference Program?

Exhibiting companies are welcome to submit ideas and presentations to show management for consideration by the content planning team. Content that is considered too sales orientated or focused on promoting the company’s own products or services will not be considered for inclusion.

Exhibitors can purchase 30-minute time slots to present on the Business Center Stage, a dedicated relaxed environment on the show floor.
