Deniz Sibilia

Director of Project Management, Americas, Kerzner International

Deniz Sibilia has over 15 years of global experience in all phases of luxury hospitality, including project management, brand development, design management, procurement, hotel operations, and brand compliance. She has taken multiple hotel projects from concept through to completion, beginning with preplanning and design, development and construction, as well as opening processes.

Currently, Deniz is Director of Project Management, Americas for Kerzner International where she works with such luxury brands as Atlantis, One & Only, Siro, and Rare Finds Hotels & Resorts. In this role, Deniz ensures all aspects of project planning and design for projects in the region are delivered in accordance with Kerzner design and brand standards. She manages and coordinates the technical service efforts of new builds and existing refurbished hotel and resort projects in the Americas, including the assessment of new potential properties and sites, design review, basic programming, architectural and interior design review and coordination, and hotel operations coordination.

Prior to that, Deniz served as Global Category Project Management and Strategic Initiatives Director of Royal Caribbean Group where she worked on strategic initiatives, global FF&E sourcing, and category management for Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, Silversea Cruises, and Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. Additional hospitality experience includes Project Executive and Owner's Representative for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.

Deniz is also an experienced architect and LEED AP having held project management leadership roles with Polimeks, a renowned construction company from Turkey where she managed such projects as Alavya Hotel, TAOS Hotel, and Rixos Eskisehir. In addition, she worked at Shawmut Design and Construction, overseeing projects that included Hudson Yards Restaurants, TAK Room by Thomas Keller, Nobu Hotel Palo Alto, Soho Hotel DTLA, and Apple Tower Theatre.
