Diaundrea Sherill
With over 8 years of experience as a Chef and Chief Vision Officer at The Delicious DeDe Company, Diaundrea (DeDe) Sherill is a passionate and creative food professional with a strong background in culinary arts inclusive of catering. She is also currently the Rooms & VIP Coordinator for The Riverside Hotel in Fort Lauderdale.
Diaundrea has a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University, an Associate's Degree in Hospitality Management from Miami-Dade College and an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts-Miami.
In addition to her culinary skills, she has demonstrated history of working in the Political Industry as a Regional Coordinator, Organizer, and Outreach Specialist. Diaundrea has successfully managed large-scale events, projects, and teams, as well as developed and maintained relationships with diverse community leaders and stakeholders. She is motivated by her personal mission to promote hospitality services to the local community as well as raise awareness and advocacy for food justice and sustainability.
Her hospitality career started off as an usher for events at Seminole Hardrock Concerts in Hollywood, Florida. Throughout Diaundrea’s career, she has recruited, trained, managed and led teams. She cooked at several restaurants inclusive of Walt Disney World Resort properties in Orlando, and Le Provencal, a French restaurant in Coral Gables. She has also served as a Culinary Teachers Assistant, been a part of the opening staff for Atton Hotel, a Brickell property in Miami, and President of local community organizations successfully organizing GOTV efforts. Diaundrea has hosted such prestigious events as mayoral candidate forums and organized free food distributions for the local community, feeding an average of 400+ families equivalent to over 2,000 individuals.
While an employee her "side hustle" was born, The Delicious DeDe Company. The company started off as selling chocolate coated apples and cupcakes to local ministries and organizations, to hosting in-person food and wine tastings at her home. The vision has evolved over the past few years to include a plant based bakery, Ladies Love (Women of Faith Adult Novelty Collection) and Dinner w/Diaundrea (Food & Wine Experience). All the efforts go to support "Leave it to DeDe", an initiative that provides food and toiletry items to College Student Pantries.
Diaundrea aspires to be a hotel owner and operator and is elated to be a Brand Ambassador for Independent Hotel Show Miami.
