General Manager, The Mark

Etienne Haro is a global leader in luxury hospitality currently serving as the General Manager of The Mark Hotel in New York City. 

A French native, Etienne brings over 20 years of international experience in luxury hospitality to this role, having previously held leadership positions at hotels in Scotland, Asia, and the Middle East. 

He began his career in Food & Beverage and Finance at The Caledonian in Edinburgh, Scotland, later moving to the Middle East and Asia, directing the operations of market-leading luxury hotels. Etienne’s extensive experience includes roles as Executive Assistant Manager of the iconic Burj Al Arab in Dubai, and most recently, as the director of La Mamounia in Marrakech, awarded Best Hotel in the World by Condé Nast in 2021.

Etienne joined The Mark Hotel in 2023, at an especially exciting moment, as the property was the only New York hotel selected for Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List 2023. The Annual Gold List highlights Best In Class hotels around the world that exemplify the gold standard of service and hospitality.

Etienne is a graduate of EHL Hospitality Business School where he received a Master of Business Administration. He holds a degree in Hospitality Management from the Luxury Hotel School in Paris and has received certifications in luxury brand management from the London Business School and Bocconi University in Milan.
