Vice President, Committees & Member Engagement, American Hotel & Lodging Association

Lauren Pravlik, CMP is the Vice President of Committees and Member Engagement – leading the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s (AHLA) portfolio of twenty industry committees from operational focus areas to risk and development. Working closely with leaders in these verticals to identify industry-wide opportunities for support and broader engagement.

Lauren leads the AHLA Sustainability Committee and was instrumental in the development of Responsible Stay, AHLA’s sustainability initiative to drive industry engagement around four core pillars in sustainability: energy, waste, water, and sourcing.

Prior to her current role Lauren served as the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships & Business Development at AHLA managing relationships with key industry partners. Lauren’s career began at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and joined AHLA in the spring of 2011 as a member of the conventions and events team. Lauren earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation through the Convention Industry Council.

Lauren is an alumnus of Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) earning Bachelor’s degrees in both Accounting & Information Systems and Hospitality & Tourism.
