Nicholas Gold is the Managing Director of Black Desert Resort & Red Mountain Resort, two of CoralTree Hospitality’s luxurious properties.

Originally from London, UK, he has spent most of his career working for luxury independent hotels. Nicholas started his career in hospitality at a young age working as a dishwasher, bar-back, prep cook, and busser while in school. In his early 20’s he had the opportunity to run a restaurant in Miami’s South Beach, leaving the UK for good. Nicholas worked his way up in hotels, first as Food & Beverage Manager, and then Director.

His first huge break happened in 2007 when he went to work at the Enchantment Resort as the General Manager. An amazing property, Enchantment Resort was voted the number three hotel in the USA and the number one spa in the world under Nicholas’ expertise. In addition, he had had the privilege of managing Amangiri, the most expensive hotel in the Americas and third most expensive in the world. Additional experience includes the iconic Condado Vanderbilt in Puerto Rico, the Kukuiula in Kauai, and the 1 Hotel, Hanalei Bay.

Along the way, Nicholas managed to get married and have two incredible sons. His partner, Annie-Mariel Arroyo is a Doctor of Organizational Psychology with her own successful consulting firm. His children, now grown, are Marcos, Director of the Mid-Town Business Improvement District (BID) in London and Carlos, who works in retail banking in Arizona.
