Tammy Pahel, Vice President of Spa & Wellness Operations at Carillon Miami Wellness Resort, and Chief Wellness Officer for Alchemy Wellness Resorts has built an illustrious career spanning decades. Beginning in 1989 as the Executive Spa Director at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa, Tammy spearheaded the establishment's ascent to a "Top Ten Spas" ranking on the Conde Nast Gold List. Throughout her journey, she collaborated with thirteen distinct owners to conceptualize and construct spas, fitness centers, and salons, including renowned establishments like the Arizona Biltmore Resort, The Spa at Caesar’s Palace, Turnberry Isle Resort & Spa, Lowes Hotel & Spa, St. Andrews Country Club & Spa, and Deer Lake Lodge & Spa.
Demonstrating her commitment to the industry, Tammy served on the International Spa Association Board for four years and holds a pivotal role as a Global Wellness Summit Ambassador. Actively engaged in advancing wellness research, she participates in GWI Sleep Research and currently serves as the Director of Education for SESPAA while contributing insights as a member of the Forbes Advisory Board. Her exceptional contributions were recognized with the ISPA Innovation Award in 2023 and the ISPA Dedicated Contributor Award in 2024. Tammy’s influence extends to various advisory boards and associations, including the WellSpa 360 Advisory Board and the Sustainable & Wellness Advisory Board of the Greater Miami Beach Hotel Association.
Since joining Carillon in 2018, Tammy has continued her legacy of innovation, significantly enhancing the spa and wellness experience. Through strategic partnerships with leading global technology brands, she introduced cutting-edge touchless wellness experiences, aligning with evolving consumer preferences. Her visionary approach has not only diversified revenue streams but also elevated guest satisfaction, contributing to the resort's ongoing success.
